Pousada Viva is a unique Bed and Breakfast situated on a 4-acre organic farm in Rio’s breathtaking Serra dos Órgãos mountains, just a 90-minute drive above Rio de Janeiro. Pousada Viva was very intentionally designed to offer an authentic and personalized travel experience. Two beautifully appointed guest rooms provide mountain views, privacy and tranquility. Stroll through our organic gardens, fruit orchards, streams and valleys.
Walk just 15 minutes down the road to Serra dos Órgãos National Park, where you can hike tropical mountain trails, swim in pristine waterfalls, and watch for any of the 465 species of birds found in this region. At the end of the day, relax in a hammock overlooking 360-degree mountain views underneath the shade of our wide veranda while sipping the juice of the day.
A full organic breakfast is included in the price of stay. For an additional fee, guests may choose from our full raw vegan menu, all prepared with organic produce grown from our farm or purchased from local farmers. If you’re in the mood, you can even pick your own meal and join us in the kitchen.

With advance notice, week-long cleansing and spa retreats can be custom-designed with the innkeepers, both of whom are certified in Reiki and Plant-Based Nutrition.Â
