Love and Light

It has become popular in some circles to offer “love and light” as a greeting. It feels beautiful — both to say and receive — but what are we really saying?

In many spiritual teachings, Light refers to the Big Return; to the place inside us that is always connected to the Divine.

At its core, wishing “Love and Light” is about telling people that you see their intrinsic goodness. It’s the 21st century Namaste: I see the Light within you.

It is more than just wishing someone happiness – it’s acknowledging our interconnectedness.

Love and Light, then, should really be about unity – the Divine Consciousness within each of us. So it must go that if we wish our friends Light, then that must be our wish for everyone we know, everyone we meet, everyone who challenges us, everywhere, Every-One.

No exceptions.
