Viva Institute’s 30 Days of Gratitude

In November 2010, a group of people decided to try a community experiment. It was based on the scientific research that shows that by practicing gratitude on a daily basis, people can actually increase their level of happiness. To learn more about this project, visit the official website.

Beginning on August 1, 2011, we’re going to give this experiment a try. Over the next 30 days, every time that you experience something that “raises your vibration,” something that makes you feel grateful, write it down.

Initially, it can be very simple things: the way the sun comes through the window in the morning, the way a loved one or your pet greets you when you walk in the door, the coworker who smiled at you during a particularly tense meeting, the luxurious feeling of a warm bath, and so on.

Write it all down, either throughout your day or at the end of the day before you go to bed. We invite you to post your “gratitudes” here, on Viva’s fanpage on Facebook, or you may even want to register on the project’s website.
